Shopping frustration
Ugggh,
I am slightly behind today (story of my life) so no cute set up pics of my Wags and CVS trip last night...
There are no CVS pix since I didnt buy ANYTHING while I was there! I was SO disappointed. They were out of the bodywash that I wanted and since I had a 10 ECB to spend I decided to wait until both the body wash and shampoo are back in stock together. I guess that will teach me to shop on Mondays vs Tues Nights :-)
Wags was OK for me, but they were out of stuff I wanted as well. Sadly, no Frozen meals, and no free TGI snacks. I scored 4 bags of licorice (yes we have a problem!) 6 toothbrushes, 3 cans chunky soup, 3 boxes hamb. helper, a box of tampax (free with Q since on clearance) and the shaving cream
Unfortunately my walgreens (or maybe just this cashier?) told me they have instituted that you can only buy one of something per day per person if it is free after RR. How they are really going to institute that I have no idea...but if that is the case, my wags trips are going to have to be over a couple of days instead of just one. My hubs will be thrilled to know that I need to be going to Wags a couple of times a week in addition to all the other shopping I do...NOT! Anyway, It was a decent trip even without multiple bottles of shaving cream. I spent a total of 6 dollars and got 3 RR back so 3.00 OOP for all of that. not too shabby.
Just frusturated about the store being out of everything and annoyed about the 1 per person rule. Anyone finding this at their walgreens???

My Walgreens only lets you use as many coupons as items. So if I buy three itmes and I have a Walgreens coupon and a manufacturer's coupon for two items (four total), that is four coupons and the deal cannot be processed inthe register.
My CVS had Hanes socks on clearance at 75% off. With my EB, I scored 14 pair of scols for 99 cents!
My CVS also "rainchecks" the freebies. I finally got my free bodywash-the last one on the shelf!

i am going to wags and cvs tonight, hoping to get some of the stuff i NEED... i should probably start going on monday nights too, i haven't had too bad of luck going on tuesdays thus far...
question: (even though this may be a silly one) ok, so if an expiration date on a coupon is say 4/13/2010, can i still use it on 4/13, or was 4/12 the last day it could be used??
i am going to ask my walgreens lady about that new "1 freebie per person" rule... do you mean 1 freebie of one certain item/day, or 1 freebie for ANY items in one transaction/day?? gosh, that stinks!!

Yes you can use the coupon on the 13th but NOT on the 14th. And supposedly it is only on one certain item per day. If there are multiples items then you could only get one of each item. Ask and let me know what you find out.
